Der Anstieg auf den Kalvarienberg führt vorbei an dem Ölberghügel mit den schlafenden Jüngern und Christus mit dem tröstenden Engel vom Tölzer Bildhauer Anton Fröhlich. 1926 erbaute man entlang des Aufganges 5 Kapellen mit den 14 Kreuzwegstationen Christi. An deren oberen Ende erhebt sich über der Kerkerkapelle.
